It's alright to be friends with your ex-girlfriend. That only depends on how well you can be trusted and if your new girlfriend trusts you enough, but if you feel like you shouldn't be friends, then just act like your ex is invisible. It's your decision to make.

Well you don't really have to purposefully talk to them. If they were to come up to you and start talking to you then ya you should but doesn't mean start looking at them until they notice then try and pretend there not there.

No .. that would be juvenile, pointless not to mention downright rude. There is no reason to at least be adult enough to be polite. Further, there is no need to be outwardly friendly, or go out of your way to make conversation, either.

Being polite to a person that used to be significant in your life is not a threat to your current partner or provide them any reason for them to be jealous.
