There are a lot of theories. Some say that black skin is "the mark of the beast" and black people are the descendants of people who had the mark of the beast. Others (nazis mostly) believe that black people were put on earth before humans, along with the animals. Nobody really knows why there are different races and colors.
Hollywood & Artists portray Adam & Eve as white, but scientists say the original humans came from a specific tribe in Africa. Saw it once on National Geo or the History channel once. (so no one can answer your question really) Sorry.
I thought they were Asian, darn. Think about it, who was around to see that they were black, white, red, yellow, blue, green, or purple-nobody. It's just an artist concept, if anything they were the skin tone of the area-the middle east
Theres a joke about this.. I forget but I'll try anyways...
Some guy says, adam and eve were white. A black guy says, no, they're black. A jewish guy comes up, says no, the scriptures say the first people were jewish. Then a russian walks over, says no, they must've been russian, because only we can eat and dress so poorly and still call it paradise.
I'm guessing this joke was funnier around the cold war era.
If mankind began from just two people, then to get all the different colors that we see in people today, Adam and Eve would have had to be polka dotted! Or striped! Or checkered? Paisley? Camouflaged? No. To get all the kinds of skin color that we see, Adam and Eve would only had to have the right assortment of genes. (That is genes with a G ... not the kind that your Mom and Dad buy from a store; those are jeans with a J ... the kind you wear ;)
It does seem pretty racist to just state that, "Oh, yeah, the first people on Earth were white because white people are so superior." *Sarcasm* What I think is that, maybe, Adam and Eve had different skin colors, and all of the different skin colors and races evolved from their two colors. That may be wrong, but it sounds a lot more logical than saying they were white without actual proof.
We dont actually know Adam and Eves skin color. The bible never mentions a specific skin color. Considering the area of the world the Garden was supposedly in theres a better chance they were closer to a lighter neutral brown or olive from which both darker and lighter skin tines evolved based on climate areas. When languages were confused and changed at Babel and people groups formed and migrated to different parts of the world over time skin colors likely began to change as well.
Notice how most avoid answering the question for lieu of criticism or cynicality. The truth is that you will have to phrase this question more along the lines of "if there were only two people at first how did we get so many ethnicities?" The result will be a dramatic decline in the people willing to answer because the truth is the thought behind your question scares people. They avoid it like bacteria to soap. They are mostly cowards in the face of difficult questions. Not even willing to ask themselves this question for fear that they may become honest. Don't mind them they are weak hearted.
The same exact question was asked at my church the other day...what a coincidence! Anyway, Adam and Eve were not white...no one in Bible times were. Think about it, they all lived in the Middle East and near Africa. There are no white people there, even today. Also, yeah, how could black people come from white people? It makes complete since that Adam and Eve were dark. I think that when God confused the languages of all of the people at the Tower of Babel, and all of the people scattered around the world, He gave them the genetic ability to produce all kinds of skin tones and body features, for whatever region they would migrate to. It was smart, and it makes since. I really hope that this answers you thoroughly, if it doesn't, than feel free to ask any questions in the comments section. :)
From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. (Acts 17:26 NLT)=================================And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; (Acts 17:26 KJV)
I truly don't know...and I'm not a coward....to answer... GOD IS AWESOME.... Real question where all here and we need to work on getting along and taking better caring of each other and taking better care of our home the plant Earth. Lets fight cancer* obesity * diabetes * no clean water * diseases * STD * ignorance and hate.. Too many things hurting and killing 'US' to be fighting each other... love to all.
Adam and Eve's children married and produced offspring with each other. Incest wasn't forbidden until the Mosaic Law. It was not taboo yet. Adam and Eve were created perfect and had perfect health. They lost that perfection but it took a long time until people's bodies broke down. People lived for centuries back then. Methusaleh is the oldest recorded human being, living to be close to 1,000 years. It was only after time that the genetic problems from interbreeding came about.
Could you give me just one verse in the Bible that says that Adam and Eve were white? While you're doing that let me tell you about how different "colors" of people came to be. Biologically speaking, there is only one color of people. What makes the "color" in your skin is just a basic pigment called melanin. Melanin is just one color - brown. So we are only one color - brown. The amount of melanin in your skin determines how light or dark you are. If you had a lot of melanin, you would be "black," or dark brown. If you had a little, you would be "white," or light brown. (See Comments)
Adam and Eve were not necessarily white. No one knows what color they were. They contained all the genes that all of mankind has now. Their descendents got certain genes from them. When certain groups of people when to different places in the world they took only certain genes with them. So if that group had mostly dark skin, their descendents would have dark skin. Same way with the other genes that a group might have.
The Bible no where says they are white. They were most likely half white half black. Because then they could have either a white or a black or both again. then the black hooks up with the half white half black and that makes another color, and it goes on and on
Well I don't know about them being white no one knows for sure what race they were. But I do know that it's possible for a black couple to have children with white skin because of genetic alterations. So you should probably look at it the other way.
