What does it mean when you like your guy bestfriend likes you and like him back. He doesn't want to date you because of how close you are?

we both like each other back alot, but he want to keep the close friendship because we are bestfriends and doesn't want to ruin that if we dated and obviously broke up we wudnt be as close. but my question is I understand wht he is saying but wouldn't that be a reason we would never date? some of my friends tell me that's my husband bc he want to save it? help me pleaseee!?? thankyou!(:

That means he is scared that yal will date and fall in love and stuff then something go wrong like yal break up then not be friends anymore:( that same situation happened to me and we talked about it and that's what he told me;| maybe you should try to ask him too

i have that problem. but we dated anyway. u can have what u have now for a long time or u can have more for less time. I chose more and its going great. but its your choice. and that's sweet that he saves it. so mabby he is. i say just go with it and do want u want. and mabby if u date him and if u break up u can still be friends. but it takes a lot of work. but u both have to want it. but its possible. im still best friends with my first ex. so good luck! ;) im sure whatever u go with it will work out. u have my full support!

Thannkyou!(: I rather pick a long time, like you choosed, lol and your right about everything you said!! But now he is in a relationship and messaged me saying he is sooo sorry but couldnt ruin the friendship bc he had a dream we were oldd together in rocking chairs bff.. Honestly idk what he is trying to do/: is he trying to stay bestfriends with me forever or, wait and marry me?? I'm soo confused.

You could let your friend know that life is not all black and white. If you date, your relationship will change, but even if a love relationship does not work out between you, you could still be friends.

Many people become friends, then lovers, then back to being friends and then sometimes back to being lovers yet again.

It all depends on the people and how they choose to handle the relationship as it progresses. Some people are not mature enough to handle a friendship after dating, but you won't know until you try.

Hahah(: exactly but for some reason once he dates a girl he doesn't want to get back together with her, idk why ? :o he will stay friends but he won't date the same person more than once. That may be a reason why he wants to wait, to date me, don't you think? Ahhah! Weird huh? And thannkyouu(: for your oppinion means alot!
