My 4gen iPod apps keep crashing so I'm thinking about restarting it to get the viruses off, will my save data return since I have icloud?

Should I restart my iPod touch to eliminate the virus and keep my apps from crashing?

When you install a new app, you should turn the iPod off and on! If you're not doing that, that could be your problem! What makes you think it's a virus?

I've had the same thing happened when I install new apps and don't turn the machine off & on! Delete any new apps, reinstall them, turn the iPod off & on and see if that helps!
*
Also, hit the home button twice to see what apps are running in the background! hold them till they shake & delete!
*
yesterday, I had over 100 apps running in the background! Just closing an app doesn't really close it! You could be low on memory, getting those apps out will really help!
*
Also, sometimes apps are just trash & won't work!

The way to close apps is double clicking the home button and hold the app icon until a little red thing shows up. Press the red thing!

You can restart your iPod to get the viruses off. However, you won't lose any of your saved folders and documents if you have enabled iCloud. Make sure all the important documents have been synced with iCloud to prevent them from getting lost.

Whoever told you, you had viruses lied. You don't have viruses. Update your apps, and then update your iOS.
