Can you go to high school and get your GED at the same time?

I'm currently in a sticky situation with school. I'm close to being 18 and extremely behind because of personal problems over the past few years, and I thought that I'd give school one more try before I gave up all together. But I recently moved to Florida with my family, and I'm able to get my GED here, now instead of waiting until my class graduates. So I was wondering if I would be able to go to high school, but still obtain my GED while I'm going, just in case I do decide to drop out.

No. You cannot do both. Please stay in school. While getting a GED is better than not getting one, having a high school diploma is the best option.

just get your g.e.d, and star at a community college, then after that you can change to a regular college and take the test so they can validate your classes at the school you want to get into....it will be much less expensive than starting at a regular college..
