Were the 1999 Marlboro Cowboys Hispanics?

Were the Marlboro ads with Cowboys wearing Marlboro gear (button-down shirts Marlboro Gear) and Stetson hats with smiles the newer Marlboro Men that replaced Leo Burnett's "Wayne McLauren" part-Hispanic or did those Marlboro Men have part-Latino blood in them?

I knew a guy who's close relative was a Marl Man and the family was all white.
