where does all the food go so fast?

i just ate a huge dinner at Sizzlers endless salad bar with my bf. I literally ate myself sick. My tummy is huge and i had to unbutton my jeans for the ride home. Im 6'0 and in the 135-140 lbs. range. I know when i wake up my tummy will be flat in the morning like always and i wont look any different. I even made sure to use the restroom before i ate so i wouldnt let any of my hard work go to waste lol. But where is the food going if my weight never goes beyond 143 at most? I cant even gain weight if i tried...and im trying really hard.

Some people just have high metabolisms and "burn" the calories more efficiently than others. With women like this, it usually (but not always) changes once you have a baby, I had many many friends in High School who were rail thin as teens, could eat anything and as much of it as they could hold and never gain an ounce. Once they had kids though all that changed and they "filled out" even if they managed to stay technically thin :)

It is likely true lol. I ran into a friend of mine from HS after not seeing her for 10 yrs.. she had a bust and curves and I was like WOW, where did you get those? She re: The kids gave 'em, to me! LMAO

Remember, a lot of what you're eating at the salad bar is water. Also, a lot of it requires a lot of energy to digest, so the net caloric gain may not be that great.

Once a person eats the food, it is digested immediately. Digestion is where food in the stomach is broken down into small particles. This process therefore, empties the small particles and retains what it is important in our bodies thus making as long for more food again.
