Can a 13 and 15 year old in the state of Colorado refuse to go to their mothers home if she is abusive?
My children are being physically, emotionally and verbally abused by their mother. 2 years ago mom and her mother abused both my girls and the police and CPS did nothing. The courts however found her guilty but only gave her 6 weeks therapeutic supervised visitation. Mother calls the girls names, has hit my oldest, tried driving on 2 different occasions the first with my youngest hanging out the window and the second with my oldest lower half of her body hanging out the back door. The police a CPS again did nothing. I call them every time I hear there is an incident but they NEVER do anything. My ex wife is very good at her lies and manipulations to where she makes the children into the liars so she stays outta trouble. My oldest has been slicing on her wrist and thigh and sees a therapist regularly and my youngest is severely depressed. They need help but the system has failed us on many occasions. Do my children have to go or at their ages can they refuse?
