What should I even be doing at a gym?

i am 16 and weigh 197 pounds. im also 5"11. what cardio, upper body, abd legs machines should i be using?

Austin,machines are well enough but first what are your goals?get a doctors approval b4 you start any regimen of training.i would start you out with rope jumping and swimming.free weights are my favorites b/c they require more concentrated muscle development and control.squat thrust and toe lift are fantastic also push ups, sit ups and jumping jacks are always good building blocks for physical health.nutrition is also important the medical world has many ideas for nutrition but you body is unique so tailor you diet to your goals and what your body can safely ingest or assimilate.http://artofmanliness.com/

I do the treadmill probley better than you pal. I go 45 mins at a speed if 5 MPH. Dont try and act all slick telling me " treadmill " when my question practically stated that i need to tone a little in those areas. Im most muscle anyway.
