The Moa is believed to still be alive. The extinct bird is said to be living in the bush at the middle of the North Island in New Zealand. Most of the species are recorded to have died out from over-hunting by the Maori. Their habitat is also recorded to have declined before the European settlement.

The Moa is believed to be extinct, but some think there are still some left, kinda like how some people believe that an ancient aquatic dinosaur lives in Loch Ness.
