How can one encourage the growth of family relationships?

here's a novel idea-get them all in the same room at the same time. then see who can make someone laugh first. ask them how their day was. encourage them to talk about anything. you just have to get them together first, then start asking questions. if you can't think of any, think about your own day and ask about what interests you. get everyone off their electronics so they can see and hear each other. no more hiding. have everyone write out a question or two, put them in a bowl, then take turns drawing them out. see who can make up the strangest answer. ask each other about what they think about, plan for the day, like to eat. once you get in the habit of getting together daily, you'll find things to talk about. how about giving someone a hug. do something nice, compliment each other. actually say I love you, or I miss you, or I need you.
