Yes, because a puppy has not been trained. A puppy requires a lot of dedication and time. If you don't think you are up to the task of housebreaking a puppy, get a dog from an animal shelter instead, or a cat :)
Puppies are a LOT of work!!!!! You have to take them out every 2 hours to potty train them, they chew on everything, sometimes they don't want to sleep at night and they can be so frustrating it will drive you crazy. But they are so darn adorable and they bring you such happiness that it's worth it. You are pretty young to take on the responsibility by your self because it will definitely affect your social life. So if it's just you raising it than maybe you should get a dog who's a little older and doesn't need so much work. If you don't properly train a dog they will destroy your house and that won't be fun for anyone.
Puppies are not hard but as Sloza said, it takes love and dedication. You need to keep in mind that it is a new family member. You can not take it for a walk because you're too tired. It needs attention, love, puppy school is recommended to socialize, learn how to discipline without hitting it. reward, reward, reward for good behavior!
well lets see you have to put down new doggy pads, make sue they dont bite/scratch at anything, take out there poo, feed them make sure they have enough water, clean their bowls, walk them everyday even when your tired, and once they get a bit bigger, groom them
i just got a rescue puppy and he is a handful. i am constantly watching him and following him all around the house making sure he doesn't poop or pee in the house or choke on something. Since he is small i need to watch him outside to make sure he doesn't escape the yard or get taken away by a hawk or something. Then i always need to clean up his toys, poop, and water/food that spills when he is eating and drinking. Then i constantly need to brush him and spend money on his food, toys and vet bills. If you get a puppy it is a HUGE responsibility and u need to have the money, time, and responsibility. My pup is a handful but i love him anyways.
It depends. i dont find it that hard casue i love dogs and all different animals and love caring for them. But if you ask a lot of my friends it would be the hardest thing ever soo however you look at it :P but they are alot of work. its like caring for a baby
They call it puppy stage for a reason! It is worth every bit of headache and you will end up bonding more with your pup. Get them started with good habits by introducing them early to healthy food and treats. I go to Organic Pet Boutique http://www.organicpetboutique.com
It depends on the dog, but often it can be like caring for a baby. They need a lot of love and attention. You have to feed them, take them for walks, potty train them, brush them, play with them, clean up after them and spend money on their food, toys and vet bills. They can be a bit of a handful, but with a lot of time, care and dedication on your part, taking care of a puppy can be really fun.
u should get a cat first, even if you don't think you are a cat person-like I thought I wasn't. I inherited a cat from the previous tenant at my apartment and I couldn't be happy. Sure, I cannot take him to the park or for walks, but he is there when I get home and he is so affectionate. Best of all, I don't have to do much of anything other than give him plenty of water, food and have his litter box clean. Hope this helps.
