Okay, so I'm writing a book and I need help. Look at details for more... well, details.

Okay, so in this book this boy is trying to prove that he's been to a parallel dimension. He is supposed to have some type of artifact, but I can't think of anything. There are a couple of rules about the artifact, though.

1. It can't be something that is already invented (fabric stronger than steel)
2. It has to fit in a pocket.
3. It has to be something inanimate

Thanks in advance for answering!

How about a monocle (old fashioned eye piece with only one lense held in place between cheekbone and brow ridge, usually kept on a chain) which, when worn, can reveal views of the alternate dimension - past or present or future.

Interesting idea. A ball, or anything really, that changes at vocal command would be AWESOME. Thanks for answering!

A glove that can withstand any temperature? If that works. First thing I thought of.

That would be great for taking stuff out of an oven! But I was looking for something that could be used immediently. Good idea, though. Wish it were real!

Researchers have found that through quantum entanglement, information can "teleport" across long distances. So, you could have a pair of objects placed several feet apart. They can be something fictitious, like a Higgs Model 3011 InfoPort Information Teleportation and Relay System. Whenever you make a change to Object A, Object B will change accordingly. Without radio waves, light, or anything. It just happens. Quantum Entanglement. Perhaps you could place an object in the Higgs' Duplicator Field, like a coin, and it instantly appears with the other object. A perfect duplicate, in an instant.

A pocket watch that used a new way of telling time? Like symbols? And it could look all normal to the people in the current world, but a phrase reveals it's true meaning.
