Do spiders undo their webs when they move on? I saw one before bed but it was gone when I got up this morning.
I don't know about those first 2 answers. I've heard that (at least some) spiders do 'recycle' their webs. Didn't you guys ever read 'Charlotte's Web'? Yeech
No. Spiders abandon their webs when they are through with them. I cannot explain why the one you saw is gone.
Nope...after all that hard work of putting it together they just move on...maybe a family member who was up before you cleaned it up...I know I don't particularly care to have webs in my home.
dave is correct...spiders do recycle their webs by eating them to store for later use...this might explain why the web was gone by the time you woke up :-)
Some spiders do recycle silk is hard to make takes a lot from the spider so yes they move house so to speak
You most likely rolled in it and knocked it down.
No i dont think so they just leave
The cat in the hat had an episode about this recently. :) Some spiders will eat the web (like previously said) to make there next web. So maybe your spider ate the web that you saw last night and went on to another spot.
I would be so worried about where that spider is NOW!!!
No when they move they abandon their webs, that's how we get cob webs.
