What other options do I have for depression

I don't want to pay to talk to a therapist, they all seem to want to medicate me. Any advice on how to get out of my depression. Talking to friends about it is out of the question.

Ask yourself what is making u depressed or unhappy.U must b honest with urself. Then make some serious effort to make that better. Most depressed people have insecurity issues and r too lazy to make effort to help them. Its ur life and ur worth the effort so get up and fix it. There is alot of fun things out there to do. Dont b afraid to try and to b happy. U only get one shot at this life. Make it good. Good luck

I've applied mindfulness based cognitive therapy on my own with some success. It really depends on the source of your depression. Mine stems from an ongoing existential crisis, I think. The bottom line is to try to learn to be happy with who you are, even if some people might call you sad. I cry sometimes without knowing why, but then later I'm ok, and that's ok.

Well you can try St. Johns Wart, meditation has a food effect... Most of all, always think positive... get any and all negativity out of yourself and stay positive
