Is this a way to play 3ds games on a ds.

You know that long thing on the left top corner of the 3DS game If I cut it off would it work on my 3ds.

nope. The 3DS has different hardware than a regular DS. And while a 3DS can play DS games the DS doesn't have the insides needed to run 3DS games.
