God. He is amazing. He loves me and you very much. He even sent his one and only son to die for our sins.

I believe in Allah(God) and science can't deny it.
check it out :)
God. He is our creator and the one who breathed life into us. The world is nothing without him.
Science
i belive in god but i also belive in science... i think science has elements of truth.
I believe in God! And all his creations!
Both are great to understand science is wonderful science can take you so far until God comes in.
God created everything!!! Everyone should believe in him!!
I don't believe it was The Big Bang Theory, I believe It was God.
I believe in God! I've heard people say that science is God's handiwork.
I believe in both. There is a lot of science to back up what the bible says.
There wouldn't be any science if it weren't for God!!
I believe in God and I believe that you can learn a lot in science. I also think Good could have used things we call science to create the earth
science.... but i've started to believe in god a little bit .... not religious tho..... but seriously i didn't even believe in the littlest him really until earlier this summer...
We have each other to love and care for.
God created science. I don't know how somebody could say science contradicts him. So God
I don't see any need to separate the two. Both reside comfortably in my understanding.
Science can only be based on peer reviewed objectively verifiable evidence, or it isn't science.
There is no peer reviewed objectively verifiable evidence for god.
The conflict arises when the religious try to claim scientific proof for their belief,
I find it curious how often when I say something about my beliefs, someone points out the error of somebody else who also believes in God, and assumes my thought process also embraces that error.
I am a believer, and logical in my thought process. I have no desire to answer for those who are also believers, but who think and say things that are clearly illogical.
If you care to ask about things I've said I'll gladly explain them. There's nothing I can do to help you with all the confusion you have heard from others.
If it helps you understand, while I am a Christian I am not a Protestant so many of my views are different than what you usually hear. Also, since most people have very wrong ideas about what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe, I'm used to people assuming I believe all kinds of illogical things that I don't. I've even had people tell me they know I believe the crazy stuff they heard about, even after patiently explaining our actual beliefs.
Normally I'm more open to general discussions, but it's 3:00am, I can't sleep, and last night I wasted lots of time with someone else here on another question who just kept arguing for the sake of arguing, because attacking believers seems to give him some sort of amusement.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Ponticus Pilot, was crucified died and buried. He descended to hell and rose again on the 3rd day in accordance with the scriptures. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the Resurrection of the Body and Life Everlasting.
no god but science.
GOD GOD GOD! <3 He is my all in all! Praise Jesus! :) Plus...God created science.
There is no contradiction between them. Only fools who insist of reading the Bible literally and mistake it for a science textbook rather than a moral guide think there is a contradiction. Religion and Science belong to different, non-overlapping magisteria. They complement each other, not contradict.
God of course!!!<3(:
I'm a science person, but I'm also a brony...
THATS A RELIGION, RIGHT?!?!
science. It's plainly obvious and produces recreatable practical application of the real world. If I did not believe in it I would be protesting that we do not breath in oxygen and that HCl is not an acid cuz it's rainbow unicorn blood and that random unexplainable events, that defy our understanding of the physical world, happen because a galactic Emperor sensed my plight from across the universe and redefined established scientific facts just for me. I would be praying to a burger restaurant and rolling my eyes in the back of my head while I attempt to 'read' a metal pole and divine spirits of earth through a geology pamphlet, screaming as loud as I can in a with a doomy inflection in my voice about atlantis rising to scare the demons into hiding from my mermaid pals I summon when others are not looking. I would be wearing a foil hat, a jesus robe and a fanny pack while I clutch a tattered baby doll with only one eye and no hair. -
There are quite a few atheist on this site. I am one; you're welcome to look over the Q&A on my profile; you'll see a number of questions where atheist can be found and followed. The ones under my answer to,"What is the point of showing empathy?" are noteworthy. You're welcome to join in on the ongoing discussion.
- I'll add that a science isn't something that you need to "believe" in; it is based on observable, measurable, testable, repeatable evidence. Saying,"I believe in science." is like saying,"I believe in the chair I'm sitting in.". The concept of, belief, has no requirement to be based on factual data; it is only the mental assertions of an individual.
God, on the other hand, can only be based on belief or faith.
Well, what do you mean by "science?" The dictionary meaning of science is knowledge. I believe in knowledge, and I believe in God. I use knowledge to believe in God and the Bible. Many things in the fields of astronomy, physics, anthropology, genetics, paleontology, archaeology, geology, and just about every other field of observable science has confirmed the Bible's accuracy over and over again. I believe in God and the Bible, and because of knowledge I can say with the utmost confidence that everything the Bible says, everywhere from the beginning of time to the end, is true.
Hope this helps - Zack
Kendra, I'm in your camp.
There are lots of athiests in the world. Outside of the southern American bible belt, it is normal to be an athiest and it is assumed that intelligent, educated people don't believe in ghosts and are not held back by the salesmen of god demanding you believe this or that. Do well in school and plan to go to college far, far away, preferable in another English-speaking country and you will find a whole world that embraces freedom of thought and a myriad of ideas quite apart from what gets preached as the truth in the bible belt. There are whole communities in the world where fundamental religious folk are considered nutters. Keep in touch with me. There are lots of athiests on here. We are all good people.
Both. Why do you think they're mutually exclusive? God gave us science to help us understand the world that He created for us through science.

I don't believe in god and I do trust science, but I don't think they have to be separate. I don't know how some people can see all the evidence of evolution, and say "that's not real," And see the complete lack of evidence for a deity and say "god is definitely real I can sense him."
Nature. and subsequently science. Science is observable evidence, hence needs not a belief though. Science is a way to explain the nature of beings. To give you a basic difference between god and science, there's a quote that I'd like to share very much: "Science proposes something and does everything to disprove it; while, god proposes something and does everything to STOP people from disproving it".
The God who created science.
As an atheist youre not alone. Theres a lot of atheists. But i respect the fact that you werent rude towards christianity in your question. Thanks , hats off to you for that. But i feel like God is the right way. I think something would have to have a pretty strong knowledge to create everything and everyone. And i dont think it happened by random chance. Molecules self replicating i mean. So many people misunderstand the bible and call it false. Theyre just judging what they dont comprehend. I think the internet is a great blessing given to people. You can see God and his signs on the internet. You just have to search for it :)
- There certainly are no constraints on what a person may believe. Belief being the mental assertions of an individual with no constraints for evidence.
- Science on the other hand is required to have peer reviewed, tested evidence. Science does not claim things came to be by "just random chance". It is understood, observable physics.
So you are an atheist.
You KNOW there is no God. How do you KNOW this?
How many decades of searching have you done for God without finding Him. Maybe you haven't searched enough?
You can only KNOW there is no God if you KNOW EVERTHING. If you did know everything then YOU would be God, now wouldn't you.
Maybe you are an Agnostic. You don't think there is a God. You are not sure.
I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ but that doesn't mean you're alone. Not in your beliefs.
And I just want to say to you people with a faith who are currently attacking. Stop. Our job is to show love. Not attack anyone who doesn't believe the same we do.
my friend says science only comes so far but then come god but i dont know im still searching for a religion
Science. But I recognize that God is a possibility. This means that I am agnostic.
i believe in God all the way read the king james Bible
I'm an atheist and you're not alone we are every where
Yes i do believe in god so much i get blessed all the time!
Science is possible precisely because there is a Supreme Being, the Creator, God or (Allah to some). Scientists have faith that the laws of the universe do not keep changing, so they can do controlled experiments over and over; so they can calculate how to send a craft to the moon and back. But 'belief' is not the same as 'trust'. The Bible says that demons believe in God, and tremble. My trust is in God and in Jesus Christ. But I certainly believe in science, enjoy science, as do many other Christians. In fact, many great pioneers in science have believed in a Supreme God. Bacon, Galilei, Pascal, Kepler, Newton, Boyle, Faraday, to name a few.
Newton said, "This most beautiful system of sun, planets and comets could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful being."
Kepler and Newton are giants in the fields on astronomy and physics; laws are named after them. I wonder if there is a connection between the trend of falling math/science scores and lack of interest in engineering in America; and the growth/interest in atheism in recent years??
Newton argued (in a letter to Locke of November 1690) that the earliest Greek and Latin manuscripts lacked passages that supported the Trinity. He showed by means of often convoluted arguments that two central texts invoked in
support of the doctrine of the Trinity (1 John 5:7-8 -- containing the long-disputed Johannine Comma -- and 1 Timothy 3:16) were absent from the earliest manuscripts, but was keen to stress that his analysis was merely an unbiased assessment of the evidence. Where there did seem to be incontrovertible evidence for the authenticity of a 'doubtful' passage, Newton argued that it had been deliberately misinterpreted by certain factions, in the main by the Catholic Church in the fourth century, and that an antitrinitarian reading made more sense. As in his other studies, Newton claimed that the corruption of Scripture had been masterminded by Athanasius and his followers in the middle of the fourth century.
Jesus never existed. So called evidence of an actual person who lived includes a lot of retroactive material written long after he supposedly existed and consists mostly of people saying what the Christians believe not what they saw themselves. Even though the Romans kept fairly good records and several authors were active at the time there is no contemporary report of his existence.

He is a mythological resurrection god or sun god in the tradition of many others who also performed miracles as part of the narrative. The theme of a resurrection god is probably the most common one in mythology and is connected to the solar cycle throughout the year. The death and resurrection of these gods are on or around the winter solstice because those are the shortest days with the least amount of sun. The day light sun begins to lengthen measurably for the sun to be born. The spring equinox, when days become longer than nights, is when the suns victory over darkness is celebrated as Easter.

There are many similarities or parallels between Christianity and so called "pagan" ones. Even in the differences a similar style or genre is followed as though religion is a literary category if it's own. Here is a link to a well written essay on the subject of parallels between Christianity and "pagan" religions.

Christianity is the offspring of its pagan parents.
I don't think pious or myself, an empathetic atheist, are irked by anything. I'm not irked by the thunder of Thor or the storms of Poseidon either. Christianity is nothing more than a link in the chains of mythology.

IF you want to consider the TOTAL contribution of Christianity, you will have to be honest with yourself. Hospitals, schools, care of widows, orphans, multiplied over centuries and countries. The contribution of moral values, work ethic, the sciences, law, the arts, etc has been well documented. Christianity's contribution to the USA alone is quite astounding.
Your selective judgment by exception might work on others, but not all who refuse to be intimidated by the fairly recent brand of modern 'radical' atheism.
I find it difficult to reason with the unreasonable position that naturalism is all that exists; when the universe requires a cause of it existence and naturalism rules out such a cause. Naturalism falls flat under the weight of its own presuppositions.
sorry to ruin your fun.
I believe in God everyone needs something to look up to and trust.
First, let us think about science - there can't be limits for scientific experiments. Each day brings new scientific developments, either, finding, a new theory, Equipment or negating what had been believed so far, and in this way, there's no end to it. so, the end will never come to these experiments - the scientists, call, this, as, the universe, cosmos, milky way,and so on, and, we (even these very same scientists too ) call it simply as GOD. this is like, a simple interchanging of meanings - ie. if the dictionary, given the meaning for GOD, if we take it, for science or vice versa. Finally, the agreement, which is consensual, ie. there can't be an end to these scientific experiments, itself proves the, existence of the Omnipresent/ Omnipotent.
