Wisdom teeth symptoms?

I'm a 15 year old guy, I had discomfort eating on the left side of my mouth (where my molars are.) I told my mom about it and she said that they are wisdom teeth developing or something like that. What are the symptoms for that? There was also white stuff around the area if that means anything.

So-called wisdom teeth are the last molars to "erupt", or grow and (we hope) come through the gum at the very back of your mouth. But, there can be problems if there isn't enough room in your jaw for them to erupt. When that happens, they're said to be "impacted". This can cause pain in the jaw, particularly at the joint which is the hinge which allows your mouth to open and close. It can also cause earache, and it can get infected. In any of those cases, only a dentist can help you. In some cases, the tooth or teeth must be extracted (pulled), but in many, it only needs time. But again, only your dentist can make that determination.

Well, yes! The white stuff probably is pus, which means an infection. Better see a dentist as soon as possible. A dental infection can cause lots of other biological problems. Please see a dentist ASAP. In the meantime, swish you mouth with salt water, 1/4 teaspoon to one cup water. Heat in micro to boiling, about 2 minutes. COOL. Then swish and spit out. Do this often til you see a dentist. Good luck, I've been there.

Ok if there is white stuff around the area of that specific spot than yes it's wisdom teeth but if it keeps hurting other than that spot that means you have a cavity. and yes if it's what mom lee said than mix peroxide and water so a bit of both mix it around the put it in you're mouth make sure not to swallow and swish it for about 30-40 second and do that for about 3-5 days and it should go away

I worked for a dentist for 15 yrs. When teeth are coming in the area is usually red and inflamed and u may see the white of the tooth under the surface or just poking through. Wisdom teeth usually are not fully developed until u are 18 years old. You could have an infection in your gum or your tooth if the white stuff was more like puss. In any case if it persists see a dentist within a few days.

Do you know anything about TMJ?

A little bit. What do you need to know?

My jaw or ears make a crackling sound when I swallow. It doesn't make the sound when I'm drinking or eating something. It also makes a crackling sound when I yawn. There's no pain involved. It makes a little sound when I open it wide but most of the time, it doesn't.

An oral surgeon or a dentist could evaluate it with a panorex xray which shows your whole jaw and all of your teeth. No pain is good. Tmj disorder is usually very painful. It could just be a sound like when ur neck cracks but be sure to tell ur dentist at ur exam. Hope it all gets better dont mess with the infection.

What do you think it is, based on what you know and what I explained?

Sounds like you have a gum infection to me. Your jaw could be tmj or just makes that noise that one is a bit tougher.

When the wisdom teeth just tip through the gum you see part of the tooth which is white. That may be what you see.
