Don't be afraid if you believe in God and know that he sent his own son to die on the cross in order to save you so that as long as you believe in him you will go to heaven and live forever there happily. Seriously though. There's no pain or sorrow in heaven. Good Place to be.

It won't do you any good, but you may not be able to avoid it. It's natural.

It is the great unknown, very hard thing to think about. I believe what
you do in this life will effect what will happen to you in the afterlife. Thus either going to heaven/or the worst thing you could possibly think of hell.

There's no point, really. We're all gonna die one day, so if there was a specific time you believe you should be afraid, it would be when you're ready to die. Until then, worrying about it just holds you back from living a full life.

If you have not accepted the free gift of salvation from Jesus; who paid the ransom for your sins; then yes fear death and the destination. If you accepted Jesus gift you have nothing to fear from death.

A little bit of healthy fear is good. You shouldn't ignore your instincts for survival or self-preservation and take foolish and unnecessary risks. But you shouldn't dwell on it and let it keep you from enjoying life.

@Chronic: Yes it is. And, strangely enough, it seems more poignant when delivered in a Scottish accent, as it is in the movie. Try it.

As FK mentioned there is a natural fear of death that we all have that stops us from doing the things that.......well, cause death, But fear of death should not be a primary concern. Right before it happens, then fear it. :):)

Yes because you won't be able to do what you wanted to do before you died, and you won't see any of your friends again.

When thinking of death I get the shivers but I know I shouldn't. Because If I keep living the life I'm in then I know after death I will be somewhere happier! :)

I heard a comedian once say,"It's not death itself that I'm afraid of - it's the process of 'getting-dead' that really scares me."

Let me quote you from Epicurus -- the great prehistoric Greek philosopher about death: "Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am not. Why should I fear that which cannot exist when I do"?

You have life to enjoy it. Not to worry about anything. Just live a Healthy life, and you won't really have to worry about anything. Death is easy, but it's gonna happen anyhow. There's really no way you can avoid it. You only live once, then when you die, there's no coming back. So enjoy life the best you can(:

Also: Don't listen to what any of the people say about being a Christian. You don't have to become a Christian just to go to Heaven. You can be an Atheist or you can be Agnostic, and still go to Heaven. Screw what they have to say. I was a Christian before, but now I'm not. I know I'm still going to Heaven, but sometimes I think I'm going to Hell, but who cares? Heaven and Hell ain't so bad. You're gonna be dead anyhow, and you won't have a body. It will just be your soul, but you won't feel anything at all.
