Cell phone screen lights up when no incoming or outgoing is going on. Is my phone bugged? How can I debug it?

It is possible that there is an application that is triggering it. You should delete some of the applications that you are not using and make sure that you close all applications after using.

Thank you for responding so quickly. My cell phone not a smart phone nor do I have internet. It is an Assurance wireless just in coming calls and out going calls. Does this help out in any way? Is there something I should look for with in the phone?If so, what and how? Please.
