Can someone PLEASE help me with my English project?

This question has received NO HELP so far. I just need a universal theme for innocence that relates back to The Giver

The theme of the giver is that nothings perfect, as perfect as everything may seem or how hard you try to make things perfect, nobody/nothing is perfect. And sometimes as innocent as things seem, there will always be someone in charge and may not see eye to eye in your perspective.
(I read this book in 8th grade and we had the same question, that was an outline of what the teacher was looking for, hope it helped!)
