I have a 1998 ford explore an when you hit a bump it sounds like there is something loose in the suspension.but can not find the problem.

sounds like the problem could be in steering but everything is tight

Check the spare tire in the trunk. If all of that is not secured, it can cause noises that sound like suspension problems.

If it sounds like its coming from the floor board ck the radius arm bushings, the exhaust is run right beside them on pass side and melts the bushings and sounds like the frontend is coming apart.
