What is the best way to get rid of lice

my bestfriend got lice and i want to help hey get rid of them before i get them

I know this might sound gross, but it works. Every night before she goes to bed, make sure that she washes her hair, then someone needs take to regular mayonaisse and smear everywhere on ger hair. Then take a pkastic shower cap and cover it up, then just sleep on it and rinse thoroughly in the morning. Repeat every night. Also, bag up sheets blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, and anything else in a garbage bag for a few days, then wash them. If there ia any lice on the bed, they will br dead, bc they hve to suck thr blood from ur head to survive. Also straighting hair alsi helps fry the little suckers. Hope this helps!:)

You can also pour olive oil into your hair and sleep with a shower cap over that.

She has to wash her hair EVERYDAY. Maybe even twice a day. I got lice when I was just a little girl because of this OTHER girl...my Mom washed my hair very often, and eventually they went away.

buy shampoo that is made for that..then all bedding and clothing must be washed and dryed in a very hot dryer

mayonnaise is an old fashion trick. there are kits in a department store they work but expect to be brushing your hair all day. my sister used that when she got some. but if your just worried about yourself tea tree oil shampoo an conditioner help prevent lice. i dont quit remember why i think it was the smell but its a good smell just not for parasites.

Mayo. Put in hair for 8-10 hrs and wrap with Saran wrap. Suffocates n kills them. Also makes hair really soft. Cheap home remedy without the harsh chemicals. My mom made us do that when I was in grade school and it works. Just remember to wash EVERYTHING.

Put alcohol in it. Get cotton and put some alcohol on it and dab it on ur head. Leave it on their for 10 mins and then take a shower. Trust me it works cuz my niece had them and we put some alcohol on it and went right away

Wash your hair twice a day. Comb(NOT BRUSH) your hair every hour. Make sure you get rid of your old brushes once it goes away. Put all your bedding, pillow, stuffed animals, hair accessories into a garbage bag and keep them there for 48 hours so the lice will die.
