Do brown widow spiders ever not have the characteristic hour-glass markings on the underside of their abdomen?

There is a huge spider on the outside of my window, and I'll admit I'm freaking out right about now because it really looks like a brown widow (which is supposed to be twice as venomous as a black widow). However while it resembles it in all other ways - it's missing the hour-glass markings. So I'm just wondering if there are any other spiders that look similar? or if it's possible for a brown widow to not have the markings?

It is really hard to tell because there are so many other species that look like them. One of the easiest ways to tell if it is a brown widow is what it's egg sac looks like but the spider with you might not have one with it. If it does, and it is indeed a brown widow, it will have a yellowish egg sac with little silk spikes. You ill know what I am talking about if it is there. Check out this site if you need additional information. I hope that this helped! Good luck!:D http://cisr.ucr.edu/identifying_brown_widow_spiders.html
