Could cocoa butter fade away a scar I've had for years or does it only work for newer scars ?

I've heard that Mederma is the best product available when trying to reduce scaring, especially if you have keloids (a raised scar). It can work on old scars, however your outcome will only be as good as the effort you put in to removing it. The more you apply the Mederma, (and you must massage it vigorously in to the scar, almost as if you are mashing it in to the area), the better the results. It can be quite painful to do, but I assure you, your scar will diminish.

No it can't fade away any scar

Cocoa butter is used to prevent scarring, such as during pregnancy. Mederma is used after scarring has occurred.
