Different colors for different people but we see them the same?

What if my red is your blue? What if my green is your pink? Have you guys ever thought about it? It appears the same colors in all our eyes but it's a different concept of sight in everyone's eyes. There is no real way to find out. Possible?

A distinct possibility. Maybe that's why people have different favorite colors, because actually we all have the same favorite color but see them differently. The same could hold true for favorite flavors.

Well, the light waves for a particular color don't vary from one person to another, and we learn which names to apply to each light wavelength. So, it probably wouldn't matter if we did. However, as we all have the same sort of light receptors in our eyes, I suspect that we perceive color mostly the same way.

It would be impossible to determine if we saw a color the same as everyone else because we learn the label. I do know that I sometimes disagree with an artist in my family on whether a shade is blue or green. Neither of us is color blind and others sometimes agree with him.
