Friends with my ex ?

okay so me and my ex finally made amends with each other and he wants to take me out on my birthday , just a friends , what do i do , i mean i still love him i just know it isnt going to work out anymore

You can go out with him on your birthday as friends even though he is your ex. It might be awkward and something romantic might happen as well but surely you can just go out as friends.
