My 17 year old cat had to be put to sleep 2 days ago because she wasn't eating and was looking for a place outside to die. I start school

tomorrow and I don't even know how I will be able to pay attention. Is there any ways to get out of that sick feeling in my stomach after her death?

There are ways of getting over the death of your cat. The feeling in the pit of your stomach is normal so start by accepting your feelings. Then, you will be able to grieve. You can also talk to someone about your cat and how much you loved it. The first few days and weeks will be hard. When you are ready, you can find yourself another cat.

she had a great life living with you. you loved her and took care of her. she was an old lady wanting peace from her aches and pains. I understand your heartache. she would like for you to keep a picture of her close so you can still talk to her but she would also want you to move on and go to school. I wish I knew her name but I'll tell my two cats.....Sam and Charlie to watch for her so she wouldn't be lonely. take care sweetie

I'm very sorry. She was old and sounds like she had a long and good life. You may not be with her and have her to hold, but she's still with you. She's always in your heart and memory:) I wish there was something I could say that would make it easier but there's not. It's very normal to feel this way. Just remember how much good times you had with her and know she was old. It was her time to go. You did the right thing having her put to sleep. It was hard, but helped her from suffering any longer than needed. That's a big thing and a HUGE sign of love. I'm so sorry for your loss. Just keep her always in your heart. Take care:)
