How can i improve my basketball skills dramatically and coordination and speed!?

im 15, weighting 150-160 pounds 5'8 short arms short legs but im big, i go to the gym, im doing push ups like maybe 3-9 sets of 15 a day, inner and outer, im lacking so much coordination when i shoot how can i increase that, even my lay ups.... i want to gain speed because im pretty slow, i was meant for endurance runs and i kind of never run out of energy, my friend who’s like 6'2 long arms and long body is beating me and he been playing basketball his hole life when i started like 8 month ago... i play rec and my average is 0-2.... i really need help on all basics, lay ups because my friend says when i go to the hoop and stop its a travel and i moved 1 step... and how to shoot because i shoot side ways and hold the ball under it, or side to side, ball from the stomach, i also need to know how to make a lay up by squeezing the ball in spaces or even just score a basket.... i need coaches, players, anyone who can help me with any advice, email me at Pwnerest@live.com for extra advice to help me get on top, i have love for this game but i get angry fast since my shooting it like 10/80 3's and 20/80 2's and lay ups 7/10 right lay ups and 1/10 left lay up, and by myself..

Ok so it depends on what position you play. I am on here all the time so just write in the comments of this answer what position(s) you play and I'll be happy to help. But here are some general tips: practice practice practice. You won't get better by magic :(. But you don't even need a hoop. Go on the side of your house and practice shot formation. Tip: flick your wrist and make sure your pointer finger is pointing toward the side of the house. You know you have a good shot when the ball goes up and hits the wall on the way down. And if your not getting it, do your shot without the ball 10 times and try again.
For defense, you don't need a ball. Just sit in a squat position and hold it for 30 seconds. Then do defensive slides.
I read that you needed to be faster. Race someone. Run around the block to improve speed. You'll pick up speed and lose weight ;)
Even if you play on the block, ball skills are still great to have. Do a drill called 4210. You dribble the ball hard 4 times the first time then crossover. 2 times the second times then crossover. You get the point. Tip: to improve skills, switch the crossover to like behind the back or between the legs.
For offense, practice ramming into people and going hard for your shot
If you practice against and with people that are better than you, you will get better even faster.
I have one more thing: BOX OUT. This will improve your game by a thousand percent. It's a very important part of a basketball players skills. Make sure you also have mental and physical strength and just keep pushing yourself.
I hope this helped and remember to comment to tell me what position you play. I can tell you some moves :)

Practice, practice, practice. Try not compare yourself to anyone else, just be the best "you" you can be. There have been numerous success basketball players at your height or less, but remember, you are only 15 and have more growing to do.
