What are the disadvantages of jailbreaking an iPod touch?

and is it illegal?

If you do something wrong as you jailbreak your iPod, you could spoil it or make it crash. You can also brick it or make it extremely slow. You may also have limited storage.

Well installing something YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!!! That's the major thing about people's device getting ruined I'm a dev so I create apps for cydia tweaks ect. First look for the app if its safe look through Internet THEN instal it if its ok but other than that you safe
