First if all, make sure the cat gets fed half as much as normal every day. No matter how loud he/she meows, don't feed the cat more! I know it's hard to ignore a car meowing, so you can try this: At every loud and annoying meow, grab a very tiny pinch of catnip and feed it to the cat. Then grab some string and lead the cat to the biggest room the house. Don't let the cat pounce on the string! Do a lap around the room. Laser pointers and other things like that work just as well, too. TIPS: Make sure the food is high in proteins, or low on fat! No kitty treats or wet food should be fed to the cat. Try out with different toys, because they may not only help fat but how mean he/she is. An upset tummy may be what's causing the cat to be grumpy! Ask your local vet for more help.
do you like everybody you meet? the cat needs to be on a diet-see a vet for a good one. as for being mean, he needs to be played with and not like a dog. cats hate being treated as dogs. you can help the cat exercise by using a feather on a string to get him to play. find some toys and see what he likes. tie something on a string and pull it slowly around the cat, or put it just where he can see it-like near the leg of a couch, then pull it very slowly to tease him into chasing it. if you wear him out, he will have gotten some exercise and be less likely to attack anyone.
