What happens to all of the pollutants that are in the sea when it is evaporated to sea salt? Surely there are traces of these elements left

What happens to the mercury, lead and cadium that is found in salt water. Are there still traces of these elements in sea salt?

Yeah, just traces. The World Health Organization allows 0.0002% lead as safe for consumption in sea salt.

All of the pollutants that are in the sea when it is evaporated to sea salt have their traces left behind. However, their percentage decreases as the water system flows along the river-estuary sea. Read more about the evaporated sea salt from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_salt.
