It can just be a cyst, but you should definitely go to the doctors && double check.

I had the same thing happen when I was your age. It is probably a result of hormonal shifts and is normally a temporary condition that will pass. If it last more than a couple weeks then go see a doctor.

believe it or not its totally normal. as your body is growing during puberty, you have a lot of hormones. You have estrogene (woman hormone) as well as testoterone (man hormone). Sometimes your estrogene hormones go crazy and the small ducts in your chest start to swell. dont be ashamed as it happenes to EVERYONE. It will go away in due time and is not a big deal. Your NOT growing breasts. Just the little ducts in a persons chest (women and men) are developing. A womans ducts will continue to grow and form into womens breasts. Yours will stop and develop into a mans chest.

Those lumps are very common and are just because your going through puberty and your hormones are out of wack. Leave it alone and try not to bump it or it may get sore. No purple nurples!!!!! You may get it on the other side as well. Let your Mom know and she may want to take you to the doctor just to check it out but don't worry, your fine. It may stay there for a long time until your hormones settle down.

Yup, yup I had one. My doc said it was called gynecomastia. It went away after awhile. Totally benign and part of puberty. But, I'd still go have it checked out. Better safe than sorry

Might be a tumor

There are some things to consider like how long has it been there, and has it changed since you first noticed it. If it just appeared very recently you could wait a week or two and observe for change.
If it doesn't decrease in size after that it would be a good idea to go to a dermatologist and get a complete body check of moles or skin cancers that are easily successfully removed in the office. That way you can put your mind to ease on the lump and get a check up that everyone should have anyway .

Any and all lumps should be checked out...It is probably that is is just that you're going through puberty, but it is best to find out,and have it taken care of early...It is better to be informed about it than to do the "wait and see what happens" route...
