Yes you can have twins of two sexes. When twins are the same sex they are maternal..... One egg has split into two beings...same sex The other set of twins boy and girl is fraternal One (hopefully) father but the mom has by chance two eggs fertilized close to the same time. One egg develops into a girl the other develops into a boy Oh And if this is your situation Congratulations Long life and happiness to you all.
A twin is one of two offspring produced in the same pregnancy. Twins can either be monozygotic ("identical"), meaning that they develop from one zygote that splits and forms two embryos, or dizygotic ("fraternal") because they develop from two separate eggs that are fertilized by two separate sperm.
Identical twins will always be the same sex..fraternal twins can both be two males, two females, or one of each.
