Did Mitt Romney really say: “I was too important to go to Vietnam”

Report as

Romney had four draft deferments so he did not have to go to Vietnam. Obama did not go either, but then again, Obama was a child and could not go whereas Mitt could and didn't.

Hi, Advancement. You asked what I'm teaching. I'm not a teacher, I'm a student. :P 10th grade.

Hi Marcus ; I think you could become president of the USA in the future . I know you will be in my favorite political party. Could you remember me and invite me to to the White House for a visit
I've been there a few times but never
got to see the other areas that you could show me . Since I'm maybe the 1st to ask you'll remember .

@Celebrity: Why thank you! If I become president, I will do that. =)

@GrandeChivo: I'm sorry, what?
Report as
I think Chivo meant that those he listed were of draft age during the Vietnam War period, and didn't enlist.
I can't verify this.
Report as
Oh, I see.
Report as
My apologies 123. I forgot to add the link showing your heroes that also had deferments.

Compared to who else ? ( besides me)
Report as
It's terrible of you to say that. You can say he's a terrible politician, but calling someone a terrible person makes you look stupid.
Report as
What do you mean compared to who else? If you're a bad person you're a bad person, you don't need to be compared to someone
Report as
Then I'm terrible. Fine by me. And no I'm not stupid thank you very much
Report as
I said it makes you look stupid. If you're fine with it, okay.
Report as
Well I'm not the only person who thinks so. So I guess lots of people look stupid, right?
Report as
You are stupid if you think Obama is trying to help us when in fact is trying to destroy us and feed you and all the other kook aid drinkers full of BS so you believe his constant lies
Report as
LMAO sorry that cracked me up. I hate em all but rather Obama than Romney.
Report as
@Iratus: I'm not sure what you mean with that comment directed to me.

If you take individual words from things that Mitt has said over time , he probably has said that - "The moon is made out of green cheese" .

We should not condemn all of those young men who pursued their careers at the time of the Vietnam war. They were all subject to being drafted. Many were drafted and gave their lives for our country . I know of no one considered unpatriotic for not enlisting at the time.
