Yes.... apparently because this site has spell check on it as well.
Idk but it is annoying. They actually have to go out of their way to spell things wrong because of spell check. Doesn't make sense.
Not necessarily stupid. I chalk it up to being lazy. Some people forget they are talking in l33t speak and not English.
i hate to break the news to you but yes, yes they are.
Whale lemme tell u dis i parsonally think dat mispelling wurds is rilly annoying right.... I hate it but love it ...
The evidence is here, right before your eyes. I'm so sorry.
Wut duze ignuurint meen?
Hahahaha! Rathkeale, we're all children. It's your job to endure this!
DUDE, I miss those 30-40 long comments conversations we used to have with Blue and Con and JbSuperLover last year :(
I think it is a combination if things, some are lousy spellers, some poor souls were taught writing to read as youngsters, some are text speaking and some ( like me) aren't up in this "newfangled machinery" and when I type something, I forget that the machine will correct it according to what the machine thinks it should be. (autocorrect)
How ya doing Marcus?
I just started school today. It's not so bad after all. Haha!
Lazy, lazy, lazy. That's all it is. OR, trying to seem cool.
Okay, so the spell check on this site does not automatically fix the word, you have to go back and fix it and it's much faster to just click "Submit Answer" than do that. And if the message gets across and answers your question, then I don't see the problem. Also, I think if you should really call it lazy as opposed to ignorant. They just don't want to bother to go back and fix the small error that really doesn't make a difference.
People are too lazy to use spell check or go back and LOOK at how stupid they sound. It's not that they're stupid, they're just so lazy they don't even care!
I'm an English teacher is is not coping very well with the overwhelming evidence of near illiteracy on this site. People write separate ideas into one unpunctuated sentence and leave key words out and then become inflamed when their question is not understood. The importance of grammar, spelling, verb tenses, and sentence structure is a grade four focus. I live in Canada, so our educational system is quite different. It's heartwarming to see that other people are concerned about something that makes me shudder. For those of you who bother to communicate properly in writing -- thank you so much!
I have absolutely no problem with public school, but I do believe the American public school system can do much better.
With a southern accent a simple word like dad gets drawn out so she spelled it dayd... Because that A goes long. It was funny and scary.
Mostly it isn't the teachers that are the problem. It's all the bull the state office deems the latest and greatest.
