Is 36 to old to get pregnant,if you have other children that doesn't live with you?

I don't think it's too old, but have you considered adopting? Many teens need homes, and if you have worries about your age, then that seems a potential alternative.

No, I don't think so, it's when your over 40 that you have a higher percentage of birth defects. You may still want to look into it, just to be on the safe side.

To get pregnant, old is not criterion and health of husband and wife and their close affectionate relationship is enough. Even at the age of 50 few ladies gave birth and hence 36 years of age is not too old.

As long as you are healthy, no it's not too old.Age is not the biggest factor, it's health and how well you take care of yourself.

I'm a 40 year old male and I don't think so. As long as youre in good health and you're willing, there shouldn't be a problem. Your older children might have a problem getting adjusted as well as a significant other. However, they'll get accustomed after while. My daughter was conceived when I was 35 and as much work it has been, she has brought more happiness into my life now than when I was younger. I hope it works this way for you too. Good luck

NOT AT ALL! My mom had me when she was 38. She also already had 3 children prior to having me.

No, 36 is not too old. However, I would encourage you to talk with your ob/gyn doctor or nurse practitioner to discuss pregnancy risks, since the risk for down syndrome rises with increasing age. Good Luck and God Bless...Karen RN

That is a myth. I know a couple who were both 25 when they had their Downs Syndrome son, & also have friends who were both 40, 42, & 47 when their most recent children born, who are all just fine.

since no one is stating the facts i will after age 35 you have a 20% chance of producing offspring with trisomy in other words down syndrome so do with these facts as you wish

Not too old. Much more dangerous if it were your first child, but health of both parents is more of an issue than the age itself in this case.
