5wk old pup chewed edge of carpet where it's nailed down; as I was about to lie down, my arm got pricked by a nail there. Will I get rabies?

I washed the area with soap and water, and cleaned it with an alcohol prep sheet. Should I be worried? It was a small prick.

I'd be more worried about getting tetanus from the nail.

Is there any reason to think your 5wk old puppy has rabies? Has he been bitten by a wild animal lately? If not you'll be fine.

I'm very sure your pup doesn't have rabies so no. You might want to make sure your up to date on your tetanus shot though.

Make sure you've had your tetanus shot. And you did the right thing by cleaning out the cut , because that's how you prevent tetanus.
