One of the home remedies to remove nail polish from clothing is to saturate the polish with bug spray, such as Deep Woods Off. Using a soft toothbrush or a rag, gently work the spray into the fabric. Put more spray if necessary. The paint will begin to gum up. Rinse well with water. If their is still a trace of stain, apply stain remover to the remaining stain. The bug spray may only remove the paint base. Work the stain remover into the stain until all the color is gone. Wash the item separately to prevent the transfer of bug spray into other clothing.
