What is the average price per foot for burying 4" PVC conduit?

I haven't done sub work in PVC Electrical underground before, I am a plumber and have been employed for a large commercial plumbing co. for years and haven't been involved in the area of billing for the large projects involving underground. I know I can run the electtrical PVC as it's all the same to me, and I have done many large PVC plumbing underground projects.
I have been offered a position as a Sub and don't want to jump into it without first knowing if I can make a living, The offer is for $2.50 per ft, this is for hand digging, as the area has existing underground lines, a 1' x 24" trench and installing 4" elec. conduit.
Is this a fair price?

An average estimate would be a maximum of $12.10 per feet for a 4" conduit. This price will mainly depend on run ends and sweeps and the area in which you are. I think the offer you were given is a bit on the lower side considering what you will use for digging the trench.

Thank you, I thought it seemed really low, this work is taking place at cell phone towers which are up and running, it's being added for fiber optic lines. The jobs are all over SC and I provide my transportation, fuel, all necessary tools for digging and tamping. The area is covered with a layer of 57 stone too. I will ask the the offer be made more realistic or continue the quest for more work.
I was just laid off, again, com-pleaded large project and then no work. You know? There was a time when you devoted better part of a year to a company and began and saw a project to it's end, that an effort was made to keep you as an employee, not lay you off and hope that when they need ya back you will be there.
