i find it hard to believe that an all loving all knowing all powerful god would send 1/3 of himself down to earth to explain the principles of living peacefully with other people only to fail to mention that it was wrong to be gay. 'how can you shout about the peice of sawdust in another's eye and ignore the plank in your own?' and if we're getting into against the bible 1:the whole adam and steve argument is a slippery slope, 2: jesus also said to give away everything that you don't need away to the poor with apparent emphasis on selling it so that the money would benefit as pertains to needs. and if anyone wants to mention the whole 'i am not here to refute the laws of the old laws' thing, he was referring to the ten commandments, not the old testament as a whole.
Yes. Our government is based on equality. All men are created equal. That should go for gays and marriage as well. So the government should allow them to marry. If some church thinks they should not marry for some religious belief, than the church shouldn't marry them.
it should be legal, why is it up to anyone else to decide who someone can marry. the whole "god made man and women to marry" doesn't make sense to me because god also made the people who want same sex marriage? im not very religious and i think people should choose who they want to marry. i dont get why people are so against it, if a guy marries a guy or a girl marries a girl, is it really affecting your life in anyway unless youre the one getting married? No so i think people should just get over it and accept people for who they are
okay it doesn't even matter! no one should be arguing about it in the first place because if someone is in love they should have the right to marry them and do whatever else they want with their partner! think about it.. if you feel inlove with someone wouldn't you want to marry them and not be discriminated against? it may be against some peoples religion but others are just born that way and that's absolutely fine (:
No - no - no. - Adam n eve Not Adam n Steve -" not that I believe In the bible - ". But - it sounds good, and explains it easily , If u want to marry - its for man - women - Man +women =child Man+man =gay Women +women =gay Be gay all u want I'm ok with all that - "don't agree " But don't care - but marriage Is family - what if your parents were gay- u wouldn't be here !
"Give to every other human being every right that you claim for yourself"- Thomas Paine If you use your right to love someone, be with someone, and potentially marry that someone then you must allow others to do the same, no matter what their sexual orientation is. It's only fair. You don't have to like it but, if you want happiness for others, you have to allow it. Life is tough enough without other people telling you what you can and can't do to make yourself happy.
I feel that they should be able to love whoever they want to love. Who is anyone to take that away from someone? there are no rules in love. I think its terrible that if someones partner was dying they wouldnt let the other one in because they arent family or whatever, at least where its illegal. Im catholic but I dont like how the church treats them, it hurts them and I dont think God would want anyone to feel hurt or hate themselves. But I also don't think if a religion feels its wrong they shouldnt have to have gay marriage within the church but we should at least have it be legal. You don't have to like it but at least accept it. Everyone is a sinner and no one is better than anyone else
I'm straight, but I do feel that gay marriage is okay. As for those who use religion to argue against it, you should realize that everybody isn't your religion, so why should they conform to your rules?
