It's one week before my piano exam and I suddenly can't play my pieces anymore. Help?

The piece that I can't play is Czerny's Etude op 299 no 10 and I'm doing grade 6. Basically, I keep missing notes and I speed up heaps. About 3 months ago, I was close to perfectly playing this piece. Since then, this piece is gradually nearing rock-bottom.

Maybe you're just nervous about the exam and are obsessing about playing it "perfectly". Go back to hearing the music for itself and just play it. If you really get to know the piece, you'll be better able to feel it, and remember where the notes are trying to go. After all, it's a song and you can sing it with your hands.

You can have free piano lessons before you go for your exams. However, besides having these tutorials, you also need to read the theory to help you advance in piano notes, key signature and fingering. Visit http://www.pianomother.com/Piano_Lessons.html for more information.
