How old do you have to be in order to drive a leased car?

I'm looking for a car and I thought about leasing one. Im pretty sure I'm not old enough to lease it in my name but could it go under my parents name, can I still drive it??!

The only thing that I see as a possibility would be for your parents to lease the car and put you on the insurance. There is no way you have the income or credit worthiness to get a leased car on your own. Can your parents afford a brand-new car for you? Are they adopting? I'd love one.

I believe 18 years old and good credit. If you don't have any credit you could possibly still lease a car with your patents being co-signers.

To drive a leased car, you need to be above the majority age which is 18 years. In states like Missouri you have to be at least 21 years. Most states put 18 years because this is the age where one is capable of signing a legal contract.

Leasing is a bad idea. You'll spend all that money and at the end (2 years usually) you'll have nothing to show for it. Better off saving and getting a good used car.
