The Number of the Beast (Greek: ??????? ??? ??????, Arithmos tou Th?riou) is a term in the Book of Revelation, of the New Testament, that is associated with the Beast of Revelation in chapter 13. In most manuscripts of the New Testament and in English translations of the Bible, the number of the Beast is 666. In critical editions of the Greek text, such as the Novum Testamentum Graece, it is noted that 616 is a variant. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_the_Beast. Or it's the natural number following 665 and preceding 667.
Revelation 13 says it is the number of a man. There was once a man named Aleister Crowley that practiced magic that carried this title of The Beast 666, but he is dead now.Anyways it is a number that holds evil in it. 777 is Gods lucky number because on the 7th day he rested from his work and his work was thn completed 7 is the number for completion the sixth day would be the day that he created man.
The second beast was allowed to breathe life into the image of the first beast, so that the image could talk and put to death all those who would not worship it. The beast forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, slave and free, to have a mark placed on their right hands or on their foreheads. No one could buy or sell without this mark, that is, the beast's name or the number that stands for the name. This calls for wisdom. Whoever is intelligent can figure out the meaning of the number of the beast, because the number stands for the name of someone. Its number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18 GNT)
