Cant get through to rhode island unemployment call center to refile claim? Is there a problem its always busy all day

Ri unemplyment call center isnt working, it always says call volume is high? cant get through for two weeks after having to refile. Please avoid any drastic changes to the overall meaning of your question. 140 Edit Additional DetailsI was cut off a week or so ago for no reason had money left on federal ext, now i need to refile and i cant get through or call in to get retro active payment. I know call volume is high but i call from 8 to 12 nonstop who is getting through and theres no forum or real answers i called the admin building no return call. ri unemployment doesnt care or theres a major error in there system after the power outages and nobody is reporting it any help would be great as long as its not keep trying because i am. thank you

I have been having the same problem, I need to file an initial claim. I have answered all the questions for filing online, and am told I have to call and speak to an agent. When I call, I am told no agents are available and to call back later. I have tried calling early, mid-day, and later in the day, but am always told the same thing. This is extremely frustrating, and I have now been without a pay for 2 weeks. It really sucks that RI doesn't have a walk in center we could go to like MA does - I would gladly wait hours if I knew I could actually speak with a human. If anyone has an alternative to the RI call center or online filing, please let me know.
