x=2/5 It's actually very simple I solved by dividing 1/2 by 1/2 Therefore cancelling itself out What you do to 1 side you do to the other you divide 5 / 4 by 1/2 Getting 2/5 The other fractions Are simply your domains You will learn more about them as the year goes on.

The fractions in the brackets are the supposed answer options. The answer is ?. This is gotten from subtracting ? from 5/4. You first have to find the least common denominator which is 4.

I dont know algebra but i bake so...5/4 is equal to 1 1/4 and 1/2 is the same as 2/4. So if you have 2/4 what would you add to it to get 5/4? Not 1/2 because 1/2 plus 1/2 is 1. Not 1 Cuz 1 plus 1/2 equals 1 1/2. Not 5/4 cuz 5/4 plus 1/2 which is 2/4 would come out to 5/4 plus 2/4 which is 7/4. So the answer is 3/4. 3/4 plus 1/2 also known as 2/4 would equal 5/4. Hopefully this helps.

That may not be correct way to do it, but that was algebra that you just did.
