It means that you are insecure about the relationship. Could something he, or someone else, said be causing you to have doubts?

Mine is not just an opinion . . . one of my degrees is Psychology. You don't just have dreams from nowhere . . . as strange as they seem, they generally have a deep seated basis in events (or observations) in your daily life that need to be sorted and resolved. Freud's book on the subject of dreams is an early work in the area.

I have no doubt that something has made you insecure in your relationship, whether real or imagined.

often people think that dreams tell what is going to happen in the future - that's not true. it just means that you have been thinking about you relationship (where it is, where is it going, is it moving at all) so if you relax about this when awake, you will have a dreamless sleep

Some people believe that dreams gateways to your subconscious mind and that if you dream about something its because you have been thinking about it, even if you were just subconsciously thinking about it. But truthfully, I believe a dream is just a dream, your mind just goes in all different directions which result in some vivid dreams sometimes. My advice, It's nothing. It's just a dream, that's all. I wouldn't look too much into it.
