What is the penalty for death threats in the state of Wisconsin?

Say someone threatens to kill you. What is the penalty of that?

If it's verbal & only the 2 parties are involved, nothing. It's all hearsay & inadmissible in court. If it is in writing, note, letter, e-mail & can be tracked to the perp-it is a felony. If you are threated in a public place & have witnesses willing to take the stand & be sworn in, it will be a felony charge. If it is a recording or you taped it, & the offender was notified that he was being taped-that would be a felony. If you taped it without permission, it'll be toss out
