How do you replace an iPod 4th generation head phone jack?

Whenever you want to listen to music with your headphones( the headphones aren't broken) you can only hear it faintly. Should I replace the headphone jack or something else?

To replace the Headphone Jack in iPod 4th Generation, you need to use an iPod opening tool that will pry the jack connector up and out of its socket. Then, remove the single screw that is securing the jack assembly in the rear case. Finally, use the iPod tool to gently lift the edge of the headphone jack. Take it to the nearest apple store at a mall near you and they will probably replace it for under $20-30.Make sure it's not the headphones that aren't working!
