With an env3 phone from lg, I hear about problems with it randomly shutting off...Is it true that putting a business card in it works. True?

Well it's an lg and my lg freaking sucks. I recommend any other brand

It does randomly shut off which sucks

If it's shutin off because the battery connection is shotty then yes any sort of shim will work...I've used lil folds of paper or a matchstick works too...ur best bet is don't buy anything Lg

I have an lg env3 as well it shuts off randomly cause it trys to upload the software status it's self I had that happen to me as well
